About Us
In 2001 the present owners, Sebelle Deese and Susan Budd, bought the home from the Jennings. Sebelle is originally from Mississippi, and Susan is from California. After traveling together for many years and staying in bed and breakfasts, they decided to look for a bed and breakfast to buy. Upon their retirement from Mount Wachusett Community College in 2004, they began their "retirement" dream career of operating a bed and breakfast abroad. Sebelle was a professor and Susan was a librarian.
Please do not hesitate to let us know what we can do to make your stay with us and in Nova Scotia enjoyable. We have lots of time to spend with you to help you decide where to go and what to do. We love to travel and have been to all of the Atlantic Provinces and think they are beautiful.
We love to travel and have been to all of the Atlantic Provinces and think they are beautiful. The people in Canada are some of the friendliest we have ever encountered, and we think you will agree. Any one you meet will answer questions for you-especially the Lunenburg Tourist Center-and we highly recommend a visit. It’s located at the top of Blockhouse Hill Road in a building that looks just like a blockhouse in the northeast section of town, and the staff there is extremely knowledgeable. Also, it’s got the most beautiful view of the harbor!
Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a great walking town filled with gorgeous architecture, great restaurants, lovely gardens, museums, quaint shops, and a working harbor. A comfortable ten-minute walk from Atlantic Sojourn will get you to the historic district.
